Food

Spread the love

Are you hungry and if so, where do you eat and or even shop for food when you’re new to the Southwest Florida area? You can always locate the big chain supermarkets and mainstay restaurants. There’s no need to mention the obvious especially since they don’t need my advertising. Besides what you really want is the down home flavor of the heart of what our Southwest Florida area has to offer.

Whether it’s that local mom & pop eatery or specialty market, when you shop or eat there you want to know that you just had some of the best that area has to offer. What I’m going to attempt to do is list some of my favorite places that I have personally eaten or shopped at that provided me awesome value in service, atmosphere and price. I will post no more than my top 5 in each category (more is coming) that may rotate monthly below: Every listed place below may also come to me by a really good friend too, Okay now let’s eat!

Restaurants:

  1. The Village Fish Market (Punta Gorda)
  2. Sweet’s Diner (Port Charlotte)
  3. Beef ‘O’ Brady’s (Port Charlotte)
  4. Your Favorite Coming Soon
  5. Your Favorite Coming Soon

If you’re a local company that want to be listed here, invite me by for a taste and let’s see what we can do. Until then, I will have to post my recommendations based on a few places that I have eaten at and maybe a few places from a couple of friends that haven’t steered me wrong. Remember the best advertisement is a happy customer.

Grilling:

We all know there’s a lot of grilling in the south. There’s one southern-based that knows how it’s done. They provide high quality grilling options in helping you to make your grilling experience relaxing and full of flavor. Pricing options on various grills but the same top quality and great results no matter which one you choose. Stay tune for that link recommendation that will lead you to your ultimate Real Deal Grill and best BBQ (guys) information around.

Supermarkets:

  1. Publix
  2. Detwiler’s
  3. Winn-Dixie
  4. Richard’s Foodporium
  5. Walmart Neighborhood Market

The above mentioned grocery stores should be able to provide most people good quality at good prices for most of your grocery shopping needs. There are many more stores along with a couple of the grocery membership clubs that didn’t get mentioned but local stores like Detwiler’s and Richard’s Foodporium really are great at what they can offer you. If you would like a larger selection of stores with location, hours, numbers and more:
